THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK

My journey into makeup started with curiosity: how a small change in color, texture, or light could change the way someone felt. Attending AMUA gave that curiosity a direction and made me want to keep learning, practicing, and finding my own point of view.

What draws me in is the balance between creativity and connection. I love talking through an idea, understanding the person in front of me, and bringing a look together one thoughtful detail at a time.

The energy of a set brings another side of that process to life: collaborating with a photographer, watching a look change under the lights, and knowing when a tiny adjustment makes all the difference. It’s a reminder that the finished image is always a shared effort.

My journey.

A few chapters that have shaped the way I work.

  • Finding my direction at AMUA

    The beginning · Makeup education

Attending AMUA marked a turning point in my journey. It gave me space to take makeup seriously, ask more questions, and become more intentional about the details. That experience is the starting point for a practice built on curiosity and continued learning.

  • Building a look on an editorial set

Illustrative on-set example · Editorial shoot

For a small beauty editorial, the starting point was a moodboard of soft light and understated color. I developed a fresh skin finish and a subtle eye, then worked with the photographer to refine the look after the first test shots. Between frames, I checked shine, softened edges, and kept the makeup consistent as the lighting changed.

  • Keeping the details consistent on camera

Illustrative on-set example · Commercial shoot

On a lifestyle campaign set, the brief called for approachable, natural makeup across several scenes. I planned a look that suited the brand’s references, coordinated preparation with the production schedule, and stayed close by for touch-ups. The challenge was keeping the finish consistent through outfit changes, different lighting setups, and a full day of shooting.

A closer look at my craft.

What goes into the look, beyond the finishing touch.

Editorial & beauty

Makeup developed around an image’s mood, lighting, and creative direction. The focus is on the details the camera sees, from skin texture and finish to the shape and balance of a complete look.

  • Interpreting moodboards and visual references
  • Considering makeup finish under photographic lighting
  • Balancing color, texture, and detail in one cohesive look

Bridal & occasion

A personal approach to getting ready for a meaningful day. The look starts with the person wearing it and considers their features, outfit, preferences, and the way they want to feel.

  • Exploring preferences and references ahead of the occasion
  • Balancing skin, eyes, and lips for a considered finish
  • Planning makeup around the day’s schedule

Commercial & campaign

Makeup guided by a brand’s visual identity and the needs of a production. Consistency matters across different shots, outfits, and moments in the story.

  • Translating a brand brief into a suitable beauty direction
  • Coordinating with photography, styling, and production
  • Considering continuity and touch-ups between looks
